Colky Manufacturing
Colky Manufacturing is the contract manufacturing side of ColKy Designs & 3D Prints LLC, Freeland, Michigan. We make plastic parts and finished products for industrial customers, businesses, schools, teams and individuals, in our own building, with our own equipment and our own people.
How we got here
Colky started in 2025 with two 3D printers in a home office and a customer who needed a set of toolbox labels. That one job became a product line, the product line became a print farm, and the print farm moved into its own building at 8800 Carter Rd. Today 70 printers run production every day for our own products and for customers, alongside UV printing, CNC, CO2 laser, CAD and CAM, graphic design and an assembly cell.
Who runs it
The shop is led by an automotive plastics and injection molding technical specialist with a focus on insert molding. That background shapes how we build: parts are designed with their molded future in mind, drawings are read the way an OEM reads them, and when your volumes get there, we plan the path from printed parts to molded production with you.
Products we make ourselves
Our magnetic toolbox label sets, team pendant chains, trophy toppers, logo keytags and industrial tags are designed, printed, assembled, packed and shipped from this floor. Running those lines every day is where our production habits come from: batch scheduling across the farm, SKU-level tracking, job instruction books, first articles, retained samples. How we work with you
- Send what you have: a STEP file, a drawing, a photo of the worn part or a sketch. Start a project and the person who builds it replies.
- Build to your print or your specification, or we design it. Engineering is quoted separately from parts, and repeat jobs get their own reorder price.
- Standard products are priced by quantity and ordered online; organizations can be invoiced.
- Everything is made in-house in Freeland, Michigan.
